Google wants to help you make your home Wi-Fi stronger.
At an event in San Francisco on Tuesday, the search giant debuted Google WiFi, a new router that is supposed to create better Internet coverage for your home. The device is a small, circular disk that links up to existing Internet connections.
Google WiFi is intended to create a better connection in hard to reach areas of the home. By adding one or two of the devices, you can eliminate Wi-Fi dead spots that may exist in larger homes. It’s similar to Eero, a startup that also offers more powerful routers to extend Wi-Fi in the home.
One of the fun features for Google WiFi is the ability to manage access for your kids. For example, you can pause Wi-Fi on specific devices at any time.
Google WiFi costs $129 for single router and $299 for three routers.
