Google will be holding a major press event on Tuesday, and those interested in watching it can do so right here.
The Internet giant will hold a press event in San Francisco, starting at 9 a.m. PT/noon ET. While the company has remained quiet about its plans, all of its event marketing suggests the company will unveil new smartphones, believed to be known as the Pixel and the Pixel XL, respectively. Speculation abounds that Google will also talk about its smart home device Google Home, plans for its latest mobile operating system Android Nougat, and perhaps even announce a new hybrid operating system codenamed Andromeda. That operating system could be a mixture of Android and Google’s cloud-based operating system Chrome OS, according to reports.
Over the last couple of weeks, some Google (GOOG) employees have hinted at big things to come for Tuesday’s event. Google’s senior vice president of Android, Chrome OS, and Play Hiroshi Lockheimer was arguably the most outspoken among the company’s executives, saying last month that Tuesday could be a big day for Google and its legion of fans.

“We announced the first version of Android eight years ago today,” Lockheimer tweeted on Sept. 24. “I have a feeling eight years from now we’ll be talking about Oct. 4, 2016.”
Meanwhile, Google has created new social media accounts under the “Made by Google” branding. The Made by Google’s only tweet so far was published on Monday and includes a picture of the “G” in Google, along with the caption, “we’re not saying anything until tomorrow.” Google has also launched a Made by Google webpage that hints at a possible smartphone release.
Unlike Apple (AAPL), which requires users to have certain kinds of devices, Google is making it easy for viewers to stream its event. Anyone with a YouTube app or access to the Internet and YouTube can watch the event. Google is using YouTube’s livestreaming feature to broadcast it live.
