Apple plans to introduce new Mac computers later this month, according to a new report.
The technology giant will debut new computers during an Apple event on Oct. 27, technology news site Recode reported on Tuesday.
The premiere of the new Mac computers would follow the debut of Apple’s new macOS Sierra operating system, which the company made available for downloading in September.

It’s unclear what exactly the new Mac computers will include, but several tech blogs and media outlets have speculated that it could be a new MacBook Pro.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Macotakara, a Japanese blog that covers Apple (AAPL) news and rumors, said that the new MacBook Pro would no longer contain older USB ports for consumers to attach additional hardware peripherals like extra hard drives. Instead, the report, based on anonymous sources, said that it would contain Apple’s own Thunderbolt 3 port and a newer version of the USB connector called USB Type-C.
As Coins2Day’s Don Reisinger reported, Apple’s decision to replace the older USB port with a newer version shouldn’t be that surprising considering more people are using the USB Type-C technology. Apple’s decision to remove the headphone jack to its new lineup of iPhones was seen as controversial to some users who want to use their current wired earphones or headphones without having to use a so-called dongle to link the devices together.
