Faraday Future, the Chinese-backed electric car startup, provided another quick peek of what its upcoming production car might look like.
It’s a short glimpse. Just 15 seconds, and the electric sedan is barely visible in most frames. But if you pause the video at key moments, it’s possible to get a general idea of what Faraday Future plans to officially unveil next year.
A prototype of the production vehicle will be introduced at CES 2017, the same consumer electronics show where the company made its initial and hotly anticipated public debut.

Faraday Future wouldn’t say where the video short was filmed; it was likely in California or Nevada, two states where the company has operations.
The company hasn’t been around for very long—their public debut was less than a year ago. But pressure is mounting for the Faraday to show the world a production car, particularly in light of its hiring spree and factory project in Nevada.

Over the past year, Faraday Future has poached numerous high-profile executives from Tesla, Apple, and other automakers. It now has 1,400 employees globally, with its largest concentration of workers in Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, and China. It started construction on a 3-million-square-foot factory in North Las Vegas that will eventually employ 4,500 people.
It’s also entered the world of racing. Faraday Future announced a partnership in July with Dragon Racing, a team owned by Jay Penske that races in the FIA Formula E Championship, a class of auto racing that uses only electric-powered cars.
