Apple’s Jet Black iPhone 7 might soon have a companion.

The tech giant could be planning a new, “Jet White” version of its iPhone 7, Japanese Apple-tracking site Mac Otakara is reporting, citing supply chain sources. The site’s sources didn’t say when the smartphone might be released.

Apple already delivers five iPhone 7 color options, including a Jet Black model that has proved exceedingly popular after its release and is still hard to come by at local retail stores. As of this writing, the Jet Black iPhone 7 is still showing wait times on online orders of up to five weeks.

Mac Otakara’s report, which was earlier reported by Macrumors, was quick to note that supply chain sources can sometimes be “unreliable,” and as Apple (AAPL) hasn’t confirmed any new color options, its sources’ comments should be taken with the proverbial grain of salt. However, Mac Otakara’s sources have often been right, and even predicted that Apple would remove the headphone jack in the iPhone 7.

At its press event unveiling the iPhone 7 in September, Apple focused much of its time on the Jet Black model, arguing that its glossy design adds an appealing design element to its handset. Soon after its announcement, however, Apple acknowledged that the Jet Black version was prone to scratches, and consumers who bought the handset quickly learned the same. Apple has recommended customers cover up their Jet Black model in a case to keep it safe from abrasions.

The idea that Apple would release a Jet White iPhone 7 isn’t so far-fetched. Given the Jet Black’s success, Apple might want to capitalize on a Jet White version that could appeal in a similar way to customers. It’s also worth noting that the Jet White version might be based on the ceramic material Apple incorporated this year in its Apple Watch Series 2. The ceramic version of the gold Apple Watch Edition has become its highest-end material on the wearables side.

Apple, in other words, already offers a device that comes with a glossy white finish. Bringing it to the iPhone, then, might not be a stretch.

Apple hasn’t commented on its plans for the future of the iPhone 7, and didn’t respond to a request for comment.
