Twitter has lost another executive. Rob Fishman, the co-founder of Niche, has left Twitter, Coins2Day has learned. Twitter acquired the startup, which works with influencers on social networks like Vine, in 2015 for a reported $50 million.
In September, Twitter pulled Niche’s app from the App Store and laid off much of its engineering team.Under Twitter, Niche expanded its network of social media stars from 2,500 to 40,000. Fishman’s departure is unrelated to Twitter’s recent decision to shut down Vine, as Niche works with influencers on other social platforms like Snapchat and Instagram as well.
Niche is expected to bring in around $100 million in revenue this year and will continue to be run by Niche co-founder Darren Lachtman. Fishman confirmed his departure to Coins2Day but declined to comment further. A Twitter representative did not respond to a request for comment.
