If you’re hoping to get some deals on Apple products on Black Friday, the company might have you covered.
Apple has published a new page on its website teasing a Black Friday shopping event. Details are slim at the moment, but the company said on the page that it will be for one day only. The deals will apparently be available both online and in stores. Apple also sent an e-mail to customers on Tuesday with the same hints but no mention of deals.
Apple has always had a hot-and-cold relationship with Black Friday. For several years, the company would offer special deals on the hardware and accessories it sold online and in its stores. However, those deals were widely panned by critics who argued they were hardly deals at all. In years past, for instance, Apple has offered $100 off on Macs that cost thousands of dollars. The company has also offered gift cards with the purchase of a full-priced device.

Last year, Apple sat out of the Black Friday festivities. The company’s senior vice president of retail Angela Ahrendts said at the time it wouldn’t offer any Black Friday promotions because “being good to your employees will always be good for your business.” Ahrendts added she had hoped other retailers would “knock off” the Black Friday tradition that sees massive crowds flock to stores across the U.S. The day also requires employees to work long hours—something from which Ahrendts had signaled she’d want to move away.

However, Coins2Day on Tuesday called Apple (AAPL) retail stores across the U.S. And found that many will have special hours on Black Friday. While Apple will keep its stores closed on Thanksgiving, unlike many retailers, its brick-and-mortar locations will have extended hours on Black Friday. Many stores that regularly open at 10 a.m. On Fridays will open their doors at 8 a.m. On Black Friday. They’ll also be open a bit later, with one store saying it will be open until 10 p.m. That day—30 minutes later than normal.

It’s unclear what made Apple change its mind about Black Friday. The company did not immediately respond for a request for comment on the move. But it appears that Apple will this year rejoin other retailers and offer deals and extended hours on one of the year’s biggest shopping days.
