Wendy’s (WEN) is heating up this holiday season with a new Spicy Sriracha Chicken Sandwich.

The fast food chain will sandwich its Spicy Chicken filet between a toasted, Sriracha-infused bun, and top it with Sriracha aioli, Sriracha Jack cheese, and Applewood Smoked Bacon. But wait, there’s more: You can also get the sandwich with a side of Bacon Sriracha Fries—Wendy’s French fries topped with Sriracha aioli, Applewood Smoked Bacon, and cheddar cheese sauce. Both the sandwich and fries will be offered at locations across the country for a limited time.

A spokesperson told Coins2Day that while the sandwich was first introduced on Nov. 28, Wendy’s won’t officially announce the menu item until Dec. 5. “Sriracha has become a food staple to many and generated an extreme cult following. So when setting out to build a Sriracha sandwich, Wendy’s knew Sriracha fans didn’t want another sandwich soaked in Sriracha,” the spokesperson said. “That’s why Wendy’s went all in and took the time to build a sandwich that doesn’t just have Sriracha poured on top of it—it has Sriracha infused into every single ingredient.”

Wendy’s told Coins2Day that this new offering is “unlike other restaurants that simply top a regular sandwich with Sriracha.” This could be a dig at McDonald’s, which unveiled a new Sriracha Big Mac earlier this month.

This seems like the next level in what’s shaping up to be a McDonald’s-Wendy’s feud. Sriracha aside, McDonald’s (MCD) started to encroach on Wendys’ “Always Fresh, Never Frozen” mission when it started testing fresh beef patties at 14 locations in May. The test appears to be going well considering McDonald’s just announced it’s expanding the test to an additional 75 restaurants.
