Federal Aviation Administration Bans All US Flights To Israel

Delta has announced that it is changing its in-flight complimentary snack range, bringing in a selection of offerings to replace the airline’s own brand of peanuts and pretzels.

The airline announced the changes to its snack policy in a press release on Thursday—the same day it confirmed plans to run a pilot program testing out complimentary meals for passengers in coach. The new line of free snacks will be available on flights over 250 miles, and will include treats such as Snyder’s of Hanover pretzels, Squirrel Brand Honey Roasted peanuts, and NatureBox Apple Cinnamon Yogurt Bars, keeping in line with its ranking for healthier airplane food.

Passengers will be able to select from more choices, dependent on their flight distance. While Delta is retiring its own brand of peanuts and pretzels, the beloved Biscoff cookies will stay in circulation.

“We know our customers love pretzels and nuts, but we also know they crave more choices and larger portions which is why we’re upgrading their snacking options on board,” said Allison Ausband, Delta’s senior vice president of in-flight service. Delta also signaled its intentions to continue evolving its future complimentary snack range based on customer feedback.
