It’s a Christmas miracle.
Walmart has announced the popular Hatchimals are making their way back at 1,700 of its stores. The hatching egg toys will be available for $48.88, while Toys R’ Us and Target sell the toys for $59.99, CNBC reports. But unlike its competitors, Walmart will allow customers to buy as many Hatchimals they can get their hands on. Elsewhere they’re limited to only one and two toys, respectively.
There’s no question that Hatchimals are on top of Christmas wish lists this year, but the supply has struggled to meet the demand. In fact, after retailers completely sold out last month, customers were signing up for waiting lists. And spokeswoman for Toys R’ Us told CNBC that the store sold out of a new shipment of Hatchimals “very quickly” after their arrival only last weekend.
“We recognize it may be difficult finding this in-demand toy,” Nancy Zwiers, chief marketing officer at Spin Master, the creator of Hatchimals, told CNBC last week. “We have increased production and a whole new batch of Hatchimals will be ready to hatch in early 2017.”
