A driverless bus will hit the streets of Singapore in the early part of 2017, shuttling passengers between the campus of Nanyang Technical University and a nearby eco-business park.
According to NTU’s Facebook page, the new bus is an upgrade from an earlier model complete with air conditioning and space for 15 people. Mashable reports the bus is manufactured by the French company Navya. The buses are equipped with sensors to detect objects in the way, as well as a GPS locator and cameras so operators can monitor its movement.

NTU says the bus will be rolled out in the next three months.
