What would a child do after seeing pictures of the headquarters of one of Silicon Valley’s leading giants? Apply for a job there, of course. At least, that’s what one 7-year-old from the U.K. Did.
Chloe Bridgewater was inspired by “images of Google offices with their bean bags, go karts and slides,” her father Andy wrote on LinkedIn.
And her letter to the “Google boss” isn’t that far from that of an actual job seeker, reports CNBC. From relating to Google’s (GOOG) business (“I like computers,” and “[my father] said it will be good for me to learn about computers”) to discussing her strengths (“good at my spelling and reading and my sums”), it’s a solid effort.
The best part of the story? Google CEO Sundar Pichai actually wrote back.
“I’m glad that you like computers and robots,” he wrote. “I think if you keep working hard and following your dreams, you can accomplish everything you set your mind to,” he continued. CNBC reports that the letter is indeed authentic.

Andy Bridgewater reports in his LinkedIn post that her daughter was pumped after receiving Pichai’s answer. “Can’t thank such a busy person enough to take time out to make a little girl’s dream become one step closer,” he wrote.
