NASA plans to reveal a new and major space discovery during a live-streamed news conference Wednesday.
The U.S. Space agency teased the announcement in a vague news advisory that said the new findings go “beyond our solar system” and involve exoplanets, which are planets that orbit stars other than the sun.
NASA’s news conference will take place at 1 p.m. EST and will be streamed live above. The agency said it will then release details of the discovery in the journal Nature and host a Reddit Ask Me Anything about exoplanets at 3 p.m. Viewers can also ask questions during the briefing on Twitter using the hashtag #askNASA.
