Chief executive officer Tim Cook is one Apple employee who will be moving his office to the company’s new state-of-the-art campus in Cupertino, Calif.
The tech giant announced on Wednesday that it will begin moving thousands of employees to the complex, dubbed Apple Park, in April. While Apple will continue to house engineers at its other buildings on Infinite Loop, Cook will relocate his office to the new complex.
The campus stretches 175-acres and features a modern curved glass building as the main centerpiece. The site, which Apple (AAPL) said is environmentally friendly, with renewable energy and 9,000 native tress, will accommodate more than 12,000 employees who can enjoy two miles of walking and running paths, a pond, and a 1000-seat theater named after co-founder Steve Jobs.
“Steve’s vision for Apple stretched far beyond his time with us,” Cook said in a statement. “He intended Apple Park to be the home of innovation for generations to come.”
