Play-Doh is coming back to the U.S. Hasbro, Inc. Is reportedly working with a manufacturer to make the beloved children’s modeling clay in a Massachusetts factory.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Hasbro has not made Play-Doh in the U.S. Since 2004, primarily relying on factories in China and Turkey to manufacture the product. A facility in East Longmeadow, Mass. Is expected to begin production in late 2018.

The Journal reports Hasbro executives deny adding a U.S.-based output in response to warnings made by President Donald Trump. Trump has threatened to squeeze U.S. Companies that produce their goods overseas by increasing taxes. The company says it was only seeking to increase production after a period of consistently solid Play-Doh sales.
