If you could pay $3 to get your pizza order prioritized before everyone else’s, would you?
That’s what Papa John’s is aiming to find out. Called “Papa Priority,” the pizza chain is testing a new $2.99 fee that lets people bump their pizza orders to the front of the line, the Associated Press reports. Though this option is only available in select markets, the company is reportedly looking to expand this options to other locations, too.
Paying the fee ensures that your order will be moved to the front of the line “so that it is made faster and therefore, ready for delivery sooner,” Papa John’s (PZZA) said on its website. However, it doesn’t guarantee you will get your pie in a certain time frame, or that it will be delivered any faster than normal. Customers who choose to pay the fee are limited to five orders total each night for each restaurant location, according to the website.
As for what customers think of the fee, Papa John’s told the AP that the option has gotten “great customer reception.”
