Our newest episode of Coins2Day Unfiltered features Paula Schneider, former CEO of American Apparel. Her path to becoming CEO was not a typical one. She never took a business class in college and graduated with a degree in costume design. She has had a long career in the retail industry, but spent only 20 months as the CEO of American Apparel. Under her leadership, the company filed for bankruptcy, combated 50 lawsuits, and cut 30% of its expenses. Although it was a difficult role, she says she is proud of the work she accomplished and the team she built.
