Nestlé, which makes chocolate brand KitKat, is planning to strip 10% of sugar from its confectionary products in the U.K. And Ireland by 2018.

In an effort to make their products healthier, the company announced on Tuesday that it will cut around 7,500 tons of sugar from several of its well-known brands, including Aeros, Lion, and After Eight. Non-artificial ingredients and a higher amount of existing ingredients will replace the changes to the recipes.

“Nestlé is at the forefront of efforts to research and develop new technology that makes food products better for our consumers” Chairman of Nestlé U.K. And Ireland, Fiona Kendrick, said in a press release. “These innovations will help us to reduce sugar in confectionery when they are combined with other, more common methods like reformulating recipes and swapping sugar for other, non-artificial ingredients.”
