They have a couple things in common: Each is known for revolutionizing the American workplace. And each is a man.
Because men have dominated the workforce for the majority of the twentieth century, they have (unfairly) dictated the way that people work, argues Arianna Huffington.
“The workplace and all the habits that we embody were introduced by men. And now, it’s time for women to say [those habits] are not working,” Huffington tells Coins2Day. “I actually believe that women are going to take the lead in changing the way we work and live.”

The Huffington Post founder aims to be one of those women. Her new venture, Thrive Global, is dedicated to ending “the delusion that we have to burn out in order to succeed.” The concept—part content platform, part online store, and part consultancy—is the former journalist’s latest effort to educate Americans on the importance of healthy, balanced living. She has already written two books on the topic: Thrive and Sleep Revolution.
“We have so many casualties proliferating of women and men collapsing from burnout, being distracted, depleted and unfulfilled,” says Huffington, who is herself one of those casualties: She collapsed from exhaustion and broke her cheekbone as a result of the fall—an accident that resulted from working regular 18-hour days for the preceding two years while she was building HuffPo.
She has since left her eponymous company to focus on Thrive, which launched last year.
