Kay Koplovitz grew up in the 1950s. At this time, it wasn’t common to tell little girls that they could be whatever they wanted to be. But Koplovitz’s parents were different. From a young age, they supported her and her habit of pushing the envelope. She even negotiated an allowance when she was five years old. Years later, Koplovitz became the founder of USA Network and the first woman to serve as a network president in television history.
