A city in Georgia hopes to attract Amazon’s new corporate headquarters by creating an entirely new city named after the online retail giant.

The city council in Stonecrest, Ga. Voted Monday that if Amazon chooses the area for its second corporate headquarters, or HQ2, it will de-annex 345 acres of land and call that portion the city of Amazon, the Associated Press reported.

“How could you not want your 21st-century headquarters to be located in a city named Amazon?” Asked Stonecrest Mayor Jason Lary.

Amazon’s search for a place to host HQ2 — which could employ as many as 50,000 people in “high-paying” roles — has prompted cities across the U.S. To bid for the opportunity. The company has said it would prefer a city that has more than 1 million residents.

Stonecrest officials said they will submit a proposal for the headquarters by Oct. 19, the company’s deadline.
