Atlanta will return for a fourth season, FX announced Tuesday.

The Donald Glover-created comedy series had previously been renewed for season three; both seasons, which will span eight episodes each, are set to begin production next spring.

Glover, who also stars, is expected to return alongside co-stars Brian Tyree Henry, Zazie Beetz, and Lakeith Stanfield. News of Atlanta‘s early season four pickup broke out amid the Television Critics Association summer press tour, with FX Entertainment President Eric Shrier singing the series’ praises.

“What more can be said about Atlanta than the critical acclaim and accolades that Donald, Paul, Dianne, Stephen and Hiro have earned for two exceptional seasons of what is clearly one of the best shows on television,” said Eric Schrier, president of FX Entertainment, in a statement. “This group of collaborators and cast have created one of the most original, innovative stories of this generation and we are proud to be their partners.”

Atlanta has emerged as one of the network’s most acclaimed offerings since it first debuted in the fall of 2016. The show’s freshman season earned six Emmy nods, winning two for lead actor and directing, with both trophies going to Glover. The latter trophy made history, with Glover becoming the first black director to be awarded an Emmy for comedy.
