The Trump administration has been cracking down on vaping in the past year—or at least proposing some pretty serious restrictions on e-cigarette use and marketing.
Those efforts include a proposed ban on flavored e-cig pods—part of a broader blowback against vaping given the recent public health horrors linked with some vaping products (especially illicit THC cartridges.)
President Donald Trump is now, reportedly, slated to meet with e-cig manufacturers and public health officials to address these issues.
‘Will be meeting with representatives of the Vaping industry, together with medical professionals and individual state representatives, to come up with an acceptable solution to the Vaping and E-cigarette dilemma. Children’s health & safety, together with jobs, will be a focus!’ He wrote in a tweet.

Fish oil firm Amarin spikes ahead of expected FDA rec. Amarin, the company behind the fish oil pill Vascepa (a treatment that's been met with plenty of controversy) enjoyed a stock pop of 24%. Investors seem bullish about an upcoming FDA advisory committee hearing for the drug, which Amarin has been pushing as a medicine that can combat serious cardiovascular conditions.

What's stressing out Americans. A new study by the American Psychological Association finds that Americans are stressed out by health care costs, gun violence, and general societal uncertainty. Perhaps that's not surprising, but the survey is well worth reading. (NPR)
