You might be all shopped out, but if you’re looking to save some significant money for the holidays in 2021, it might be worth venturing out to the mall or outlet stores one last time before you settle in to binge watch college football.

Many stores are looking to clean out their inventory before the end of the year—and they desperately want to get rid of seasonal products. (That ugly Christmas sweater lost a lot of its value at 11:59 p.m. On Dec. 24.)

If you’re planning on one last shopping spree, here are what the folks at DealNews suggest you focus on, as that’s where the deepest price cuts are likely to be found.

Ornaments and other holiday decor

There’s no better time to buy things to deck the halls and trim the tree than after Christmas. While most retailers have been slashing the price of things for the yard or home for several days before the holidays, the bottom tends to fall out on Dec. 26, with discounts up to 80%.

Act fast, though, some stock is already low and will go fast.

Clothes

Retailers typically have clearance sales at this time of year. Last year, J. Crew took an extra 70% off select clearance items. Even those that don’t use the pre-New Year period for clearance, like Victoria’s Secret, often have semi-annual sales around that time. You can find some deals online, but the real bargains are found in the disheveled displays at brick and mortar retailers.

Electronics

You won’t find Black Friday pricing on new items, but some retailers will be looking to lighten their inventories. And you’ll find great deals on refurbished items. Among the bargains that were available last year were a Sceptre 65-inch 4K TV for $400 and a Samsung Galaxy S8+ (64 GB) for $255. DealNews suggests monitoring (or visiting) Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, B&H Photo Video, and eBay for the best bargains.

Video games

With so many new game systems in homes after the holidays, game publishers are eager to move some product. That means steep discounts at retail and digital storefronts. Newer titles might see moderate price cuts, but you’ll really save on back-catalogue games that came out a year or two prior.
