Coors Light is hoping to help the nation’s animal shelters lighten their load this Valentine’s Day.
The brewer has announced it will kick in $100 toward the adoption of a shelter dog to the first 1,000 people who apply for the cash.
No beer purchase is required, but you do have to be 21 years or older and you’ll need to submit proof that the adoption occurred between Feb. 4 and Feb. 21 of this year. (You’ll also have to be of legal drinking age.)
The offer isn’t valid for residents of California, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia or West Virginia.
Coors Light will Venmo the money to people who qualify for the promotion. Limit one pup per household.
Dogs and beer go together like, well, pretzels and beer. Many microbreweries welcome dogs at their tasting rooms. And a North Dakota brewing company recently partnered with a local dog rescue service to put adoptable shelter dogs on its labels.
A Florida brewer did the same thing last January and the campaign managed to reunite a woman with her long lost dog, after she recognized it on the label via a Facebook post.
