Between traditional television, video-on-demand releases, and a growing number of streaming services, it can be hard to keep up with what one should watch week to week. Coins2Day is here to help you keep track of new releases as well as the occasional older title worth checking out. Take a look at this weekend’s notable arrivals, a couple you may have missed earlier in the week, and what else is coming soon:

Netflix

Dead to Me (Season 2): The Christina Applegate-Linda Cardellini series, part black comedy and part mystery, returns for its second season May 8. The first season, which led to Applegate’s fifth Emmy nomination, focused on two grieving women who bond after losing their partners, and ended with a cliffhanger. The new season’s twists and turns remain to be seen, but early reviews indicate that the actors remain in top form.

The Eddy: If you’re a fan of France and jazz, this limited series from Oscar winner Damien Chazelle (La La Land, Whiplash) might be the one for you. Starring André Holland (The Knick, Moonlight) as a jazz club owner in Paris, the series tackles everything from music—of course—to a family tragedy and murder mystery. (Read Coins2Day’s interview with Holland here.)

The Hollow (Season 2): If you’re seeking something a little more tween friendly, this animated sci-fi/fantasy series returns for another season on the streamer. The first season was certified 100% fresh by critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and can be fun viewing for adults too.

Nadiya’s Time to Eat: In case you missed it when the episodes dropped during the middle of last week, this one hits the sweet spot if you’ve run out of Great British Bake Off episodes to watch, but need more cheerful food shows to watch. Half-hour episodes hosted by past Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain are packed with quick recipes for busy families, along with educational segments on food production, making it a particularly relaxing binge in stressful times.

And as mentioned last week, Jerry Seinfeld’s 23 Hours to Kill and Michelle Obama documentary Becoming are now both on Netflix.

Hulu

Solar Opposites: The new animated comedy from Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan (Rick and Morty) features a family of aliens trapped on Earth after their home planet is destroyed… and as expected, wacky hijinks ensue. All eight episodes of the first season arrive on Hulu May 8.
