As JetBlue prepares to expand service to London this summer, the airline recently unveiled a refreshed experience in its business-class service, Mint.

And based on images of the cabin’s two revamped seating options, passengers might wonder if they’ve already landed in their hotel suites, considering how lofty and spacious (at least for a commercial carrier) they are.

Mint will now feature 24 individual suites that each consist of a fully enclosed seat, designed with Tuft & Needle adaptive mattress foam. All are aisle-accessible via a sliding door. The seat complements additional sleep amenities developed in partnership with the brand, including a convertible blanket with a built-in foot pocket, a memory-foam pillow with a pillowcase, and a snooze kit with a matching eye mask and earplugs.

New mood lighting has been installed to enhance the in-flight experience, and a welcoming blue floor arc helps direct the customer boarding flow.

Each suite includes a 17-inch seat-back screen, wireless charging capabilities, an integrated phone ledge for multitasking, and easy-to-reach in-seat power, as well as laptop, shoe, and handbag stowage.

Every Mint seat is layered with Tuft & Needle’s proprietary T&N Adaptive foam and a breathable cover to create a cool and comfortable sleep experience.

The Mint Studio is the larger suite, and the first to accommodate two travelers to work or dine together while in flight. As described by an airline representative, customers will even be able to “starfish” in this suite, as the seat and bench lie flat to create the largest bed on a U.S. Carrier.

The airline also touts that it is the first carrier to outfit its aircraft with Thompson Aero Seating’s VantageSolo seats, the company’s single aisle seating solution. The seats have a herringbone configuration developed and designed specifically for narrow-body aircraft and further customized for JetBlue.

Each aircraft will have two Mint Studios in the first row, providing more room for working or relaxing.

The first major design overhaul of Mint, created in partnership with Acumen Design Associates, will launch on JetBlue flights to London in summer 2021, and a 16-seat layout will debut on a limited number of flights between New York and Los Angeles in 2021.
