With the FDA and CDC green-lighting “mix and match” booster shots, the retail-ization of COVID-19 vaccinations has entered a new round.

Many people who got the Johnson & Johnson shot initially are leaning toward getting a booster from Moderna or Pfizer to increase their resistance to the coronavirus. But while it’s fairly easy to find some sort of alternative these days, if you’re hoping for a specific one, that might take a little homework.

Here’s the good news: No matter which vaccine you’re seeking for your booster shot, there should be an ample supply. Even better, there are online tools to help you locate that vaccine nearby.

Vaccines.gov

This site, run by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Boston Children’s Hospital, is your single best bet. It not only lets you find vaccination and booster shot locations near you, but it also lists which vaccines they have available. It’s the easiest and most complete way to find the vaccine you want.

The site also notes hours and whether the flu vaccine is also offered, as well as whether it accepts walk-in patients or if an appointment is required.

Outdated tools

When the vaccines first rolled out there were a variety of widely used websites that tracked availability, but most of those have since stopped updating their sites. If you relied on any of the following sites earlier this year—Vaxxmax.com, Vaccinespotter.org, Getmyvaccine.org, or the Dr. B standby list—delete those bookmarks and use the vaccines.gov site as well.

If you previously used vaccinefinder.org, another popular site, it will automatically forward you to the CDC site now.
