Mark Cuban could soon be living out the plot of Schitt’s Creek.

The entrepreneur, Dallas Mavericks owner, cryptocurrency enthusiast, reality TV star, would-be politician, and social media provocateur has purchased the entire town of Mustang, Texas, for an undisclosed amount.

Mustang (population 23) has been for sale since 2017, originally with an asking price of $4 million. It eventually dropped to $2 million but still couldn’t find a buyer. Cuban, according to deed records, bought it via a company he controls and tells the Dallas Morning News, “I don’t know what, if anything, I will do with it.”

Mustang is located about an hour south of Dallas in Navarro County, right off Interstate 45. At 77 acres, it’s not exactly a booming town. It was founded in 1973, acting as an oasis for alcohol when most of the county prohibited liquor sales.

By the 1990s, though, Navarro County changed its liquor laws, and Mustang lost its status as the only place in the 1,086-square-mile county to get a beer.

Most recently, there were just two businesses in the town, reports the Morning News: a trailer park and a strip club, which is reportedly in poor shape. It’s unclear if either is still operating.
