  • Circle K is offering a 40-cent-per-gallon discount on gas purchases on May 22. The offer will run from 4-7 p.m. Local time. Nearly 6,000 locations of the chain will participate. The offer comes before the busy Memorial Day holiday.

As you get ready to head out on a long weekend trip over Memorial Day, Circle K is helping you save a little on the front end of that mini-vacation.

The convenience store chain, with almost 14,000 locations worldwide, is bringing back its gasoline discounts on Thursday for one day only.

On Thursday, May 22, Circle K will offer up to 40 cents off per gallon for anyone who buys gas between 4:00 p.m. And 7:00 p.m. Local time. All totaled, the company says 5,800 locations across the U.S. Will be participating in the promotion.

To find the nearest participating location to you, head to Circle K’s website.

In addition to the discount, Circle K will donate 10% of the profits during that time period to the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, which provides college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who lost a parent in the line of duty.

There are some restrictions. Certain states have regulations in place about gas discounts. Customers in Wisconsin, for example, who visit Circle K will be able to save only up to $4.50 with a minimum 3-gallon purchase.

Sheetz often offers a discount on its gas at some point each year, though that more typically occurs around the Thanksgiving travel season. That company has made no announcements about the current time period.
