For 20 years, Kelly Zong has been a part of Wahaha, a beverage conglomerate founded by her father Zong Qinghou, through cutthroat competition with other brands like Nongfu Spring. Wahaha marked a strong rebound in sales in 2024, partly thanks to a surge in demand for affordable drinks amid China’s post-pandemic slowdown. Yet Zong is battling her half-siblings in an inheritance dispute after she assumed Wahaha's chair and CEO roles after her father’s death last year.
