One of the largest oil refining and petroleum products players in the U.S., New Jersey–based PBF Energy quietly produces and handles much of the nation’s fuel. With large refining complexes in Delaware, New Jersey, Ohio, Louisiana, and California, PBF can process more than 1 million barrels of crude oil per day. PBF sells and handles logistics for gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, biofuels, and many other petroleum products, including asphalt. PBF also runs St. Bernard Renewables, a biorefinery outside New Orleans, in a 50-50 partnership with Italy’s Eni, churning out renewable diesel.
